The AAW is a New Zealand wide organisation created in 1969
and with its origins in the Mothers' Union. Its formal aims are twofold:
- To unite in prayer and participate in the mission of the
Church
- To promote, nurture and safeguard Christian family life.
At a practical level, AAW offers friendship, support and social
interaction. Its members are actively involved in many aspects of
parish life, in the wider church and in the community. In the Parish there are two groups:
- 4th Wednesday of
each month starting
with a Communion
Service at 10am in
St Mary's Church.
- 2nd Thursday of each Month at 7:45pm in the Parish Lounge
