Association of Anglican Women

The AAW is a New Zealand wide organisation created in 1969 and with its origins in the Mothers' Union. Its formal aims are twofold:

  • To unite in prayer and participate in the mission of the Church
  • To promote, nurture and safeguard Christian family life.

At a practical level, AAW offers friendship, support and social interaction. Its members are actively involved in many aspects of parish life, in the wider church and in the community.  In the Parish there are two groups:

  • 4th Wednesday of each month starting with a Communion Service at 10am in St Mary's Church.
  • 2nd Thursday of each Month at 7:45pm in the Parish Lounge

For more information please contact:

  • Eleanor: Ph. 322 5289 or Lois: Ph. 322 7745 for the Wednesday Group
  • Rosemary: Ph. 322 9962 or Liz Ph. 349 0369 for the Thursday Group
